Forschung

Wissenschaft ist eine systematische Disziplin, die Wissen in Form überprüfbarer Hypothesen und Vorhersagen aufbaut und organisiert. In der Medizin umfasst die Wissenschaft ein breites Forschungsspektrum, das von der Grundlagenforschung – das grundlegende wissenschaftliche Prinzipien umfasst – bis zur klinischen Forschung reicht, die Studien an Personen umfasst, die an klinischen Studien teilnehmen können. Innerhalb dieses Spektrums liegt die angewandte oder translationale Forschung. Die wissenschaftliche Gemeinschaft ist ein Netzwerk interagierender Wissenschaftler, die wissenschaftliche Forschung betreiben. Durch Peer-Review, Diskussionen und Debatten in Fachzeitschriften und Konferenzen wahren Wissenschaftler die Qualität der Forschungsmethodik und die Objektivität bei der Interpretation der Ergebnisse.
