Diagnostics
An optimal treatment requires a thorough diagnosis. This is why the beginning starts with an elaborate clinical examination, in which I will, if needed, resort to well-established test procedures. Whenever you already had certain procedures (such as CT, MRI on CD), please bring the results along to your first appointment. If necessary, I will transfer you to colleagues for special examinations.
Therapy
If possible, conservative methods – such as physiotherapy, manual therapy / chiropractic therapy, acupuncture, psychotherapy – will be applied. If surgery becomes necessary, I collaborate with the Spine Center Oberpfalz to perform microsurgical procedures on herniated discs or spinal canal stenosis. However, a surgical intervention can often be avoided. I have the accreditation for a second opinion spine surgery.
Counsel
Once the results of all pre-examinations are available, we will discuss therapy options available. Together, we will find a treatment strategy, which will never take course in a schematic way, but will rather involve your personal life circumstances and match your individual needs.
Follow-up
Continued care will take place in my practice after surgery, and the healing process will be accompanied and controlled.
It’s important for the success of every therapy to have patience and to stay active in the recovery.
